Total Nitrogen Online Water Quality Analyzer
Model No.:JM-2300
Total nitrogen in water mainly comes from the decomposition products of nitrogenous organic matter in domestic sewage by microorganisms, industrial wastewater such as coking and ammonia synthesis, and farmland drainage. When the total nitrogen content in water is high, it is toxic to fish and harmful to human beings to varying degrees. Determination of total nitrogen in water can help to evaluate the pollution and ‘self-purification’ status of the water body, therefore, total nitrogen is an important indicator to characterise the pollution of water quality.
Detailed Description
1.Product overview:
Total nitrogen in water mainly comes from the decomposition products of nitrogenous organic matter in domestic sewage by microorganisms, industrial wastewater such as coking and ammonia synthesis, and farmland drainage. When the total nitrogen content in water is high, it is toxic to fish and harmful to human beings to varying degrees. Determination of total nitrogen in water can help to evaluate the pollution and ‘self-purification’ status of the water body, therefore, total nitrogen is an important indicator to characterise the pollution of water quality.
2.Product Principle:
Nitrogenous compounds in water samples are converted into nitrate nitrogen in the presence of potassium persulphate, after high dissipation, cooled to room temperature and reacted with indicator to generate a colourful complex, the analyser detects the change of this colour and converts this change into total nitrogen value output. The amount of coloured complex generated corresponds to the total nitrogen content. This method is suitable for wastewater with total nitrogen in the range of 0-50mg/L. Excessive calcium and magnesium ions, residual chlorine or turbidity may interfere with the measurement.
