COD Online Water Quality Analyzer
Model No.:JM-2000
Chemical Oxygen Demand (also known as COD) refers to the mass concentration of oxygen corresponding to the consumption of oxidant in the oxidation of organic and inorganic reductive substances in water samples with strong oxidant under certain conditions, COD is also an important indicator reflecting the degree of pollution of water bodies by organic and inorganic reductive substances.
Detailed Description
1.Product overview:
Chemical Oxygen Demand (also known as COD) refers to the mass concentration of oxygen corresponding to the consumption of oxidant in the oxidation of organic and inorganic reductive substances in water samples with strong oxidant under certain conditions, COD is also an important indicator reflecting the degree of pollution of water bodies by organic and inorganic reductive substances.
The analyser is capable of long-term unattended automatic continuous work according to the site settings, and is widely used in industrial pollution sources discharging wastewater, industrial process wastewater, industrial sewage treatment plant wastewater, municipal sewage treatment plant wastewater and other occasions. According to the complexity of on-site testing conditions, the corresponding pre-treatment system can be selected to ensure that the testing process is reliable and the test results are accurate, to fully meet the needs of different occasions on-site.
2.Product Principle:
The mixture of water sample, potassium dichromate digestion solution, silver sulfate solution (silver sulfate can be added as a catalyst to oxidise straight-chain fatty compounds more effectively) and concentrated sulfuric acid is heated to 175℃, the colour of dichromate ions oxidising the organics in the solution will be changed, and the analyser detects this colour change and converts this change into COD value to be outputted out, and the amount of dichromate ions consumed is equal to the amount of oxidisable The amount of dichromate ions consumed is equal to the amount of oxidisable organic matter, i.e. the COD value.
